New paintings just on and on

As you saw in the previous images of this blog, not only I like to encourage kids to have a great time enjoying their stay at the Studio, like making huge bubbles, we also like to remind them of special occasions like this: Lauren just celebrated her BirthDay and she got little lights to blow out!

Adults also have great moments to celebrate, like this picture showing Laura finishing her impressionist view of bright coloured poppies. Way to go, my Dear Laurita! And what can we say about Maddison! Hard working sweet girl who just finished her second great painting. I almost gave a bite to these delicious cherries!
Congrats! Maddison.
Keep up!

New Studio! Great Beginning

Today we had the first class at our new location. 1121 Kestell Boulevard.
Kids came one by one adapting to their spaces.

With music everywhere, kids really enjoyed the first day.

Starting with great enthusiasm, Alexa just finished another gorgeous and colourful painting!

Of course, part of being here is having fun while relaxing from the every day school chores. Katie, Alicia and Taylor with their new aprons. I love this Group!

I wish you All great moments and a lot of Art to be done here. Thank you for making this dream a reality. This Studio is all for you, so enjoy.

Alexas artwork

I guess I owed Alexa a space to show her works. Why? because I always register the kids painting and at the end I take a picture of the finished piece. Hm! In your case I missed some of them so here you go. Here are only some of your pieces. They are vibrant, colourful and lovely. Congratulations to you too.!

Fall is amazingly creative!

What can I say but to shout out loud CONGRATULATIONS!!! to All these young artists. It is such a pleasure to have talented kids that enjoy creating.
First of the list comes Lauren. This is her second painting in acrylics. This time a still life composition on dark background. Details and proportion are beautiful. Keep up my dear Lauren!

Next we have Luca, our multi-task/multi talented kid of the class

These pumpkins, had such a challenge in the vanishing point. All where different in light and proportion. It was an excellent excercise to work on perspective and depth.
Great colours.
Next comes one of our ladies of the Thursday class. Paula has been one of the most prolyfic artists and her heart is so big she gives away all her paintings to fiends and teachers!!!! Lovely gesture my dear Paula. Congratulations on this beautiful FALL theme painting.

And last but not least two paintings from Best-Friends Taylor and Alicia,

who finished at the same time their still life. I love having them in class for they are such sweet girls. Keep up ladies.
This is Alicia's composition.

And this is Taylor's with a beautiful crystal glass and bottle. So difficult and yet she managed to give the effect.

I am sure in less than a year you two will be able to have your own exhibit!!!!! wow!
CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL! I SEE THIS TIME OF THE YEAR REALLY INSPIRED YOUR CREATIVITY! KEEP UP.

New generation of weavers!!!

Recently, some of the artists from the Painting Studio who have seen what we do in the Tapestry Studio where drawn into the weaving. I have to confess that this makes me very happy because they are exploring new possibilities in different mediums.

Things get better and better for Katie!

a
Well by now you all must know Katie, our amazing member of the Painting Studio. She is just incredible, fun and tremendously talented. She also has those ways to get all the ideas and follow exactly the suggestions I make.
The Painting Studio would not be the same without you. You can tell by the look at Alexa behind you, just feeling great about your new artwork.

Once again my Dear Katie, I have to share with all my true congratulations!. Keep up and good luck now that you are now exploring another media: the tapestry weaving. What can I say, if I had an apprentice in weaving just like you you would be my right hand soon!... and I mean it!
Congratulations also to your parents who believe in your talents and support cour creativity. It is so important to have someone pushing you and believing in you in all you do.
And remember:
“As long as we have memories, we have yesterday. As long as we have hope, tomorrow awaits.
As long as we have ART today is beautiful.”

Gaby is having fun

Well not only is about learning to paint, but also to have fun, and so is Gaby finding her way to having fun. She is using completely her fingers to create these abstract flowers over a golden background. What a fabulous contrast!
Let's see how it ends in a couple of classes. Keep up with the blog to find out!

Well done Vicky.
Not only you were working in a dark background but you did 2 different versions of the flower.
I can tell this is your favourite colour, isn't it!
Congratulations. Keep up working so hard, and now that you are exploring possibilities in weaving I wish you the best in this new technique. Cant wait to see what you can weave in your little loom.

using different techniques and tools

Here we have Alexa again!
She is now in the process of working with spatula in an impressionist coloured flower composition.
The use of other techniques some other girls are applying is spounge for texturizing effects. They really enjoy this, especially for the spontaneity of the results.
Keep up Alexa, Maddi and Lauren!!!!

Wow, Fall is here and so much to see already!

Catalina, you did it again, and this time with flowers. This ended up a sweet composition in a small format, and now you will be exploring the wonders of free drawing and abstract. Good luck on this new ideas. Congratulations! great job again!!!

First of all, I would like to welcome some new faces:

Lauren and Maddi, my dear neighbours, who are finding their Leonardo Da Vinci captured inside their body! They are now in the process of learning the basics of figure in common shapes like pear and apple. Way to go ladies, keep up!

As the new Fall Season starts, the kids from the Oakville Painting Studio are back so energetic and ready to bring some more wonderful ideas into their canvases.

As you can see by the first excercise from Taylor, you can figure out that great projects are yet to come!

Now this is a Happy Face. I also love the idea that you write stories. Let's see how we can mannage to link both of your abilities in a creative way. Excellent job Taylor.

Paula and Mom, Carolina are again sharing a wonderful smile, especially because Paula commited to finish her painting inspired in an image of ferns.
She was a bit unfomfortable because she broke one of her toes and she is wearing a cast, but I hope soon she will be dancing again.
Congratulations on your new project.
